Moon Base Books is an independent publisher based in Ashland, OR, specializing in various materials from voices across the creative spectrum. They specialize in off-beat poetry, spacey meta-fiction, and genre-defying Table Top Games. When designing the logo for this brand, I wanted to play off the fun, experimental nature of their content while avoiding coming across as esoteric. A bold stamp-like mark and type set, accompanied by vivid but warm colors serves as a cozy welcome to enjoy the feeling you can only get from curling up with a good book.

I was also invited to design the covers and merchandising for flagship author Daniel Sinderson’s first collected works, Tensegrity and Vocoder. I look forward to working with them again as they expand into new worlds!
